About This Scholarship
The University of Canberra offers fully funded research scholarships for domestic and international students to pursue higher degrees by research, covering full tuition costs and providing a stipend for living expenses. The scholarship supports highly qualified candidates undertaking full-time study towards a PhD or other Higher Degree by Research.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Full tuition covered
- $36,225 per annum stipend (tax-free)
- Tuition fee sponsorship for international candidates (where applicable)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Be an international or domestic student (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen)
- 2 Not have previously held an Australian Government-funded research scholarship for more than 6 months
- 3 Priority given to applicants approved for admission to PhD with an Australian First-Class Honours result or equivalent qualification
- 4 Priority given to current PhD candidates who have successfully achieved Confirmation of Candidature and completed less than two years of candidature at commencement of semester
- 5 Priority given to applicants approved for the National Industry PhD Program – Industry Linked stream
- 6 Priority given to Indigenous Australian applicants approved for admission to a PhD
