About This Scholarship
The University of Notre Dame’s STEM-designated Ph.D. in Sustainable Development is an interdisciplinary doctoral programme preparing scholars to address critical global challenges including climate change mitigation, environmental governance, and development policy. The programme combines rigorous academic training, close faculty mentorship, engaged scholarship, and policy-relevant research to prepare researchers who can contribute to addressing challenges affecting vulnerable communities, particularly in the Global South.
