About This Scholarship
The Equality Fund Journalism Fellowship supports journalists in ODA-recipient countries to produce fact-based reporting on local solutions to global crises with a focus on gender. The programme provides a CAD $4,000 stipend, reporting expenses, professional learning opportunities, safety training, and an in-person convening.
What This Scholarship Covers
- CAD $4,000 stipend
- Up to CAD $500 in reporting expenses
- Professional learning opportunities and expert-led online sessions
- Safety training from International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) and Freedom of the Press Foundation
- In-person convening with travel expenses covered
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a working journalist in any platform (text, digital, video, audio) in an ODA-recipient country.
- 2 Open to women, men, and LGBTQI+ people.
- 3 Open to both full-time and independent freelance journalists.
- 4 Must be reporting on their own communities and geographies.
