About This Scholarship

The Berlin Mathematical School offers a competitive, research-oriented PhD program in mathematics across three leading Berlin universities with tuition-free admission and financial support for selected international students. The program consists of Phase I (Master’s studies for bachelor’s degree holders) and Phase II (doctoral research for master’s degree holders), starting in October 2027.

Who Can Apply

  • 2 Must be interested in pursuing doctoral studies in mathematics
  • 3 Phase II applicants must have secured funding for at least three years before admission
  • 4 Must demonstrate proficiency in English
  • 5 Open to international applicants
