About This Scholarship
The University of Turku offers three-year research fellowship positions through the Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) for international researchers. Successful fellows receive a salary and an annual research allowance to support independent academic research in Finland.
What This Scholarship Covers

- Annual research allowance of €3,800
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must hold a PhD degree.
- 2 Postdoctoral Fellow applicants must be within 5 years of having passed their PhD.
- 3 Collegium Fellow applicants must be early-to-mid-career researchers within 12 years of having passed their PhD.
- 4 Marie Skłodowska-Curie (TIES2) applicants must be within 8 years of having passed their PhD and must satisfy the EU MSCA mobility rule (must not have resided or carried out main activity in Finland for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately preceding the call deadline).
