About This Scholarship

Newcastle University offers up to 50% tuition fee discount scholarships for outstanding international undergraduate applicants for the 2026/27 academic year. Awards are based on academic merit and commitment to studies, with successful applicants receiving renewable annual scholarships subject to academic progression.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be assessed as international for fees purposes
  • 2 Must have received an offer of place on an eligible full-time undergraduate degree programme at Newcastle city centre campus for 2026/27 academic year
  • 3 Must have or expect to achieve a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent
  • 4 Must not be applying for Medicine MB BS, Dental Surgery BDS, or Dental Therapy BSc
  • 5 Must not be applying through Clearing
  • 6 Must not be a study abroad or exchange student
  • 7 Must not be a current registered student who has already commenced their undergraduate degree
  • 8 Must not be repeating courses
  • 9 Must not be funded through partnerships between the University and external organisations
  • 10 Must not be a fully sponsored student
  • 11 Cannot be in receipt of any other Newcastle University scholarship scheme awards

How to Apply

Obtain an offer of place on an eligible full-time undergraduate degree programme at Newcastle city centre campus for 2026/27

Be assessed as international for fees purposes

Complete the Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship application form

Submit fully completed application by the closing date (26 February 2026 or 2 April 2026)
