About This Scholarship
The 2026 Cook Center Summer Research Fellowships offer Duke University graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct hands-on research on social inequality within a collaborative, mentored environment. Fellows work with faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and peers to advance research in areas including education, economic opportunity, health equity, and carceral justice.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Stipend (graduate: $10,625.01; undergraduate: $2,500 per term or $5,000 for both terms)
- One-on-one mentorship
- Hands-on research experience

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a current Duke University student enrolled for Fall 2026 semester
- 2 Graduate applicants must be PhD students in good standing
- 3 Undergraduate applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- 4 Must demonstrate strong interest in social equity research
- 5 Must commit to biweekly meetings and project work throughout the summer
