About This Scholarship
The 2026 SADC Undergraduate Bursary supports international undergraduate students from Southern African Development Community countries enrolled at Stellenbosch University, providing R50,000 in financial assistance for students in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study. The bursary aims to assist academically progressing students who demonstrate financial need and are committed to completing their academic programmes successfully.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be an international undergraduate student from an eligible SADC country
- 2 Must be enrolled at Stellenbosch University
- 3 Must be in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of undergraduate study in 2026
- 4 Must demonstrate financial need with combined household income not exceeding R350,000 per annum
- 5 Must have passed at least 60% of academic credits for the 2025 academic year
- 6 Must be on track to complete degree within minimum prescribed period or within n+1 years
- 7 Must possess a valid study permit, refugee documentation, asylum seeker documentation, or VFS receipt confirming visa application valid for the full academic year
- 8 Permanent residents may apply only if they do not qualify for NSFAS funding
