About This Scholarship

The 2027 ASTCT International Trainee Observership is a four-week fully funded programme for early-career clinicians from low-income and lower-middle-income countries to observe clinical practice and research in hematopoietic cell transplantation at the University of Illinois Chicago. Participants will gain exposure to transplant medicine, cellular therapies, and international collaboration while attending the 2027 Tandem Meetings in Orlando, Florida.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must hold a medical degree (MD, MBBS, DO or equivalent)
  • 2 Must be a citizen and practicing clinician in a low-income or lower-middle-income country as classified by the World Bank
  • 3 Must be a trainee or junior faculty within five years of completing terminal training
  • 4 Must be currently employed at a medical institution
  • 5 Must have completed or be enrolled in training in hematology, oncology, immunology, or transplantation medicine
