About This Scholarship

The Einstein Fellowship supports outstanding young thinkers who wish to pursue a project in a discipline different from their previous research, following Albert Einstein’s example. Fellows will reside for six months in the garden cottage of Einstein’s summerhouse in Caputh, Brandenburg, near Berlin and Potsdam universities.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Free accommodation in garden cottage for 6 months
  • 10,000 euros stipend
  • Return airfare reimbursement

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be under 35 years old
  • 2 Must hold a university degree in humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences
  • 3 Proposed project must be significantly different from previous work (e.g., master's thesis, published essays, books)
  • 4 Project must not be dissertation or thesis research
  • 5 All application documents must be in English
  • 6 Must demonstrate quality, originality, and feasibility of proposed project
