The Emerging Sustainability Leader Award recognizes outstanding early-career researchers who have made exceptional contributions to sustainability research, offering a USD 20,000 monetary prize. The award celebrates innovation, academic excellence, and meaningful societal impact across the sustainability spectrum, with the recipient being formally presented during the World Sustainability Forum 2027.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Early-career researcher typically within 10 years of completing a PhD
- 2 Demonstrated exceptional contributions to sustainability research
- 3 Active contribution to sustainability-related research or practice
- 4 Research must engage with at least two of the three core pillars of sustainability (Biosphere, Society, Economy)
- 5 Research should demonstrate connection to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
