About This Scholarship
The Emerging Voices in AI and Society Fellowship is a prestigious six-month remote fellowship offered by the Center for Humane Technology designed to support interdisciplinary mid-career professionals committed to advancing thoughtful conversations and impactful research on AI’s societal impacts. Fellows receive a $30,000 stipend, extensive mentorship, editorial support, and media training while working 15 hours per week on one or two focus areas exploring how AI influences ethics, public policy, culture, and everyday life.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Mid-career researcher, policy professional, journalist, advocate, technologist, or thought leader
- 2 Interested in exploring AI's societal impacts
- 3 Able to commit 15 hours per week
- 4 Available for at least 10 hours per week during Eastern Standard Time (EST)
- 5 Able to work during fellowship period September 14, 2026 through March 18, 2027
