About This Scholarship
The Global South Visiting Scholar In-Residence Program offers a fully funded short-term academic residency at the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of Law for exceptional early- to mid-career scholars from the Global South. Selected scholars will spend between two weeks and three months in residence, expected to deliver lectures, engage with faculty and graduate students, and conduct independent research.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a faculty member currently appointed at an institution located in the Global South (as defined by OECD list of countries eligible for official development assistance)
- 2 Must be an early- to mid-career scholar
- 3 Must have a superior record of scholarly contributions to their field
- 4 Must be able to complete the residency between January and April 2028
- 5 Must be able to arrange residence during Allard Law's winter term (January to early April 2028)
