About This Scholarship
The MTCP Scholarship is a fully funded postgraduate scholarship sponsored by the Malaysian government for international students from developing countries to pursue Master’s degrees at Malaysian universities. Recipients acquire knowledge and skills that contribute to the development of their home countries while strengthening bilateral ties between Malaysia and developing nations.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Full tuition fees
- Monthly allowance of RM3,500.00 (includes cost of living, book allowance, tools allowance, house rental allowance, placement allowance, thesis allowance, travel allowance, practical training allowance, end of study allowance, medical allowance, and insurance allowance)
- One-off return economy-class airline ticket from student's closest international airport to Malaysia and back
Who Can Apply
- 1 Citizen of an MTCP recipient developing country
- 2 Not more than 45 years old at the time of application
- 3 For Master's Degree Programme, minimum Second Class Upper (Honours) or minimum CGPA of 3.5 or equivalent at undergraduate level
- 4 Proof of English Language Proficiency: IELTS (minimum score 6) or TOEFL internet-based (minimum score 60), or previous degree(s) with English as medium of instruction
- 5 Excellent level of health certified by a doctor/physician
- 6 Must undertake full-time study at selected Malaysian universities
- 7 Must have received a valid admission offer letter from at least one Malaysian university and not yet started postgraduate studies, or registered for no more than one semester of Master's degree
