About This Scholarship
The IAPS AI Policy Fellowship is a fully funded three-month programme (February 22 to May 14, 2027) designed for professionals from diverse backgrounds seeking to develop careers in AI policy and governance. Participants can choose to work in Washington D.C., London, or remotely, but all must attend a mandatory two-week residential programme in Washington D.C., with all travel and accommodation fully covered.
What This Scholarship Covers
- $18,000 stipend for Fellows
- $24,000 stipend for Senior Fellows
- Additional $3,000 stipend for Washington D.C. or London track participants
- Fully funded travel and accommodation for mandatory Washington D.C. residency (2 weeks)

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a professional seeking to develop a career in AI policy
- 2 Must be interested in addressing implications of frontier AI
- 3 Applicants with policy, technical, academic, and government backgrounds strongly recommended
- 4 Open to applicants from diverse backgrounds including government, academia, technology, research, law, public policy, operations, and international affairs
- 5 Must be able to attend mandatory two-week in-person residential programme in Washington D.C. from February 22 to March 5, 2027
