About This Scholarship

The Karsh International Scholarship, established in 2010, is a fully funded merit-based scholarship for international undergraduate students at Duke University who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship supports intellectually and civically engaged students pursuing a B.A. or B.Sc. degree and promotes interdisciplinary inquiry and scholarship in service of society.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • Full tuition
  • Room and board
  • Mandatory fees
  • Demonstrated financial need exceeding tuition and room/board
  • Three summers of research funding
  • Funding for unpaid internships
  • Funding for other opportunities advancing academic career

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be an international student (citizen of any country outside the U.S.)
  • 2 Cannot hold dual U.S./other country citizenship
  • 3 Must be pursuing a B.A. or B.Sc. degree (cannot already hold a bachelor's degree)
  • 4 Must demonstrate financial need
  • 5 Must apply to Duke University and request financial aid
