About This Scholarship

The Shapoorji Pallonji Scholarship is a fully funded master’s opportunity at SOAS University of London for exceptional students pursuing advanced studies in Zoroastrianism and related interdisciplinary fields. The scholarship covers full tuition fees and a maintenance stipend for one year of full-time study in eligible MA programmes.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must possess or expect to be awarded a first class honours degree from a UK university or international equivalent
  • 2 Applicants with a non-UK masters degree must be in the top rank as evidenced by references and transcripts
  • 3 Applicants with a 2:1 may apply but will not be given preference
  • 4 Must have applied to SOAS but are not required to have received an offer of admission by the scholarship deadline
  • 5 Must have received an unconditional offer by the time the relevant panel meets to discuss scholarship applications
  • 6 Must meet the English language condition of their offer of admission to study at SOAS
  • 7 Must complete the compulsory 60-credit dissertation in Zoroastrianism and the 30-credit module: Zoroastrianism, Historical and Contemporary Perspectives
  • 8 Open to both Home and Overseas fee-paying students
