About This Scholarship
The Farm 2027 Residency is an 8-week fully funded artist residency in Western Australia designed for visual artists to develop site-responsive work engaging with environmental, cultural, and agricultural contexts. The programme provides comprehensive financial support, accommodation, studio facilities, and professional development opportunities within a rural creative ecosystem on Wadandi Country.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Artist fee of 15,000 AUD for living and project-related costs
- Accommodation and studio facilities on-site at The Farm Margaret River
- Coverage of travel costs to and from Margaret River
- Professional documentation of the residency and work developed
- Research and practical support, mentoring
- Introductions to local networks and arts organisations
- Opportunity to present the project to a panel for additional funding and resources
- Community engagement event where work is shared with the community
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a visual artist with a strong and consistent artistic practice
- 2 Must demonstrate interest in environmental, ecological, cultural, or agricultural themes
- 3 Must demonstrate ability to work independently in a rural setting
- 4 Must show commitment to community engagement and collaborative exchange
- 5 A valid driver's licence is strongly recommended due to limited transport options in the region
