About This Scholarship

The WIPO Fellowship is a 12-month programme at WIPO headquarters in Geneva designed for early to mid-career professionals in library and information science, knowledge management, and research support. Fellows receive a monthly stipend of CHF 6,000 while gaining practical experience in knowledge management, digital information services, and evidence-based decision-making within a United Nations specialized agency.

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Possess a first-level university degree in Library Science, Information Science, Knowledge Management, or a closely related discipline
  • 2 Have at least two years of professional experience in libraries, knowledge management, research support, or information services
  • 3 Possess experience collecting, managing, and analysing library or information-related data
  • 4 Have experience using service metrics and usage statistics to support performance assessment
  • 5 Possess experience preparing analytical reports that inform organizational decision-making
  • 6 Demonstrate strong proficiency with spreadsheet applications and data analysis tools
  • 7 Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English
  • 8 Show strong understanding of library operations and digital information services
  • 9 Possess knowledge of library assessment methodologies
  • 10 Demonstrate ability to organize and interpret data from multiple sources
