About This Scholarship

The Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship is a five-month international fellowship designed to cultivate a global community of clean energy and climate change leaders from emerging and developing countries in the Global South. The programme combines world-class academic engagement with Yale faculty, international networking, remote policy learning, and in-person convenings in New Haven, Connecticut and Paris, France.

What This Scholarship Covers

  • In-person orientation week at Yale University
  • Access to Yale faculty and researchers

  • Networking with International Energy Agency and OECD staff

Who Can Apply

  • 1 Must be a professional from an emerging or developing country in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, or the Caribbean
  • 2 Must be embedded within their country's energy, policy, business, or civil society sectors
  • 3 Must demonstrate passion for becoming a future leader in clean energy and climate change
  • 4 Must be selected from diverse professional backgrounds including government, entrepreneurship, finance, civil society, academia, journalism, or law
