About This Scholarship
The University of Birmingham offers £5,000 scholarships for high-performing undergraduate students from Middle East and North Africa entering their first year in September 2026. These joint awards with local representatives are based on academic merit and are available to overseas students who have accepted an offer and selected Birmingham as their firm choice.
What This Scholarship Covers
- £5,000 tuition fee award towards first year undergraduate tuition fees
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be domiciled in one of the eligible countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, or UAE
- 2 Must have received an offer and selected University of Birmingham as firm choice for a full-time undergraduate programme
- 3 Must be entering first year of undergraduate programme at Birmingham's UK campus
- 4 Must meet academic conditions of the offer
- 5 Must be classified as overseas fee payer and able to pay remaining tuition fees
- 6 Must have sufficient funds to cover full cost of living and visa/travel expenses
- 7 Must start studies in September 2026 (no deferral permitted)
- 8 Must be registered with and have application attached to one of the university's local representatives
- 9 Must pay net tuition fees for first year by 1 November 2026
- 10 Not eligible if applying for MBChB Medicine and Surgery or BDS Dental Surgery (Law applicants can apply for separate Birmingham Law School scholarships)
