About This Scholarship
The Childlight Global Data Fellow Programme is a 12-month international fellowship designed for mid-level researchers and practitioners working to strengthen child protection through data-driven research and evidence-based practice on child sexual exploitation and abuse. The programme combines virtual learning with an in-person residency at the University of Edinburgh and offers participants access to a global network of child protection experts and collaborative research opportunities.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be working in the field of child protection from diverse disciplines and sectors
- 2 Must be passionate about child protection and eager to learn, collaborate, and develop CSEA research
- 3 Must have research or work experience in an area of strategic interest to Childlight
- 4 Must be fluent in English language
- 5 Preferred: Understanding of Sub-Saharan African social, political, cultural, or institutional contexts
- 6 Preferred: Public health expertise including epidemiology, population health, or disease burden
- 7 Preferred: Experience managing or analysing frontline datasets from education, justice, social services, policing, healthcare, or helplines sectors
- 8 Preferred: Representation from youth-serving, survivor-led, or grassroots organisations
- 9 Preferred: Proficiency in French, Portuguese, Swahili, Arabic, or other relevant regional languages
