About This Scholarship
The Women’s Fellowship on Human Mobility in the Context of Climate Change is a 6-month regional leadership and capacity-strengthening programme designed to empower young women across the ECOWAS region to advance gender-responsive solutions to climate-induced human mobility challenges. The fellowship strengthens women’s participation in climate and migration policy processes, supports community-led initiatives, and fosters regional collaboration among emerging women leaders.

- Bilingual learning materials (English and French)
- Simultaneous interpretation services
- Individual mentorship programme
- Monthly coaching and technical guidance
- Pilot project grant (USD 500-1,000)
- Support for participation in regional and international policy events
Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a young woman leader from ECOWAS Member States: Nigeria, Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Senegal, Togo, Cape Verde, or Guinea-Bissau
- 2 Must demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to addressing climate-induced human mobility challenges
- 3 Must be willing to participate in all three phases of the fellowship (6 months: July-December 2026)
- 4 Must be available for in-person training sessions and hybrid engagement
- 5 Must speak English or French fluently
