About This Scholarship
UNHCR’s DAFI scholarship offers qualified refugee and asylum seeker students the opportunity to earn an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in their country of asylum or home country. The scholarship package covers tuition, study materials, food, transportation, and accommodation, and also supports accredited Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes of two years or more.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a recognized refugee or asylum seeker living in Rwanda
- 2 Must have been accepted to a university in Rwanda with proof of admission
- 3 Must have excellent academic performance (priority given)
- 4 Only one family member can apply/obtain DAFI scholarship
- 5 Must not currently be benefiting from another Higher Education scholarship programme
- 6 Must not have been confirmed to depart for resettlement to third countries
- 7 Female applicants and persons with special needs education are highly encouraged to apply
