About This Scholarship
The Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy offers eight 2/3-financed PhD scholarships valued at DKK 1,100,000 each, covering salary and tuition fees for two years during a three-year PhD programme in diabetes, metabolism, or endocrinology. Applicants must conduct their research at a Danish university under the supervision of an associate professor or professor.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a PhD candidate (not the Principal Investigator)
- 2 Must hold a Master's degree from a Danish university or an equivalent degree from a foreign university approved by Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science by the time of application
- 3 Must not be enrolled as a PhD student at the time of receiving the grant notification letter (26 November 2026)
- 4 Principal supervisor must be employed at the faculty of a Danish university as an associate professor or professor within the applicant's field of study
- 5 Research project must be within diabetes, metabolism, or endocrinology
- 6 Application must address the four DDEA funding focus areas: internationalisation, interdisciplinarity, collaboration across sectors, and patient and/or public involvement
