About This Scholarship
The Institut français x Cité internationale des arts residency program enables artists and cultural professionals from around the world to develop research and creative projects in Paris during a three-, six-, or nine-month residency. The programme provides fully funded accommodation in studio apartments at the Cité internationale des arts in the Marais district, with approximately 70 positions available annually.
What This Scholarship Covers
- Furnished studio apartment with workspace, sleeping area, bathroom, and kitchenette
- Wi-Fi access
- Monthly studio costs covered by Institut français
- Residency stipend of at least €1,100 per month (covered by partner organisation)
Who Can Apply
- 1 Be supported by one or more partner organisations (artists cannot apply independently)
- 2 Have been permanently residing outside France for at least 5 years
- 3 Be engaged in a recognised professional artistic or cultural practice
- 4 Be fully available for the entire duration of the residency and free from professional obligations during that period
- 5 Demonstrate autonomy and have professional proficiency in French and/or English
- 6 Work in an eligible artistic discipline (Architecture, Visual Arts, Photography, Cinema, Digital Creation, Design, Performing Arts, Music, Literature, Crafts, Fashion, Gastronomy, Dance, Theatre, Art Criticism, Curating)
- 7 No age limit
