About This Scholarship
The Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP) Reporting Fellowship Program supports journalists and creator journalists from low- and middle-income countries to cover the 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP31) in Antalya, Turkey, from November 9-20, 2026. All selected fellows receive fully funded support including airfare, accommodation, meals, travel insurance, and ground transportation.

Who Can Apply
- 1 Must be a professional journalist from or representing an established media house and reporting from an eligible country
- 2 Must not have attended a UNFCCC climate COP in person before (self-funded or as part of a fellowship)
- 3 Must be available and willing to travel to Antalya, Turkey to attend the full two weeks of COP31 in person
- 4 Must have a good command of the English language
- 5 Must have previous experience reporting on climate change issues
- 6 Must commit to participate in all CCMP Fellowship activities
- 7 Must provide an up-to-date resume/CV
- 8 Must provide a video (no more than 2 minutes) explaining reporting plans for COP31
- 9 Must provide a letter of support from an editor, producer or supervisor confirming publication of news reports in an established media outlet
- 10 Freelancers must provide a signed letter of support from a media outlet committing to publish fellowship stories
- 11 Must provide a minimum of three recent, relevant journalistic work samples on climate change topics published between May 15, 2025 and June 15, 2026
